New volunteer flowchart

This page of advice is aimed at our commissioners.

Before a volunteer starts their leader development programme (LDP) journey below, they will need to have come through the volunteer recruitment process. This includes:

• applying online
• completing the DBS and references
• completing the a safe space levels 1&2 on the learning platform
• being allocated a unit helper role on GO

This will make them active on GO within the chosen unit, and 24 hours later they will be able to access the LDP elements within the learning platform and you can follow the flowchart below.
