Virtual Bubbs Hill Bash 2020
We were all sad to hear that the Bubbs Hill Bash 2020 had to be cancelled, however the county team have put their heads together to come up with a virtual Bash instead. It will take place during the same weekend that had been earmarked for the actual camp, 13-14 June, but we're extending the offer to all sections as well as volunteers.
We have a small team working hard to put together the programme which will be focused around four Zones; Adventure, Explore, Challenge and Imagination. We are planning to share the experience via a range of online media to ensure everyone can take part. These will include a closed Facebook group, Twitter and Facebook posts, You Tube, our website, etc. We've already set up a page on our website with some basic information that includes a template letter for emailing parents about the event.
What will the camp involve?
We're still making plans but here are some of the ideas of activities that might be coming your way!
AdventureDeer Park has many adventurous activities on offer like Zip Wire and Pioneering. We're hoping to bring some of that adventure to your living room, maybe on a smaller scale though!

ExploreEver fancied going into space? Maybe you'd rather be on the stage? Want to travel the world? Or perhaps experience an animal safari? Well we will help you get one step closer to your dreams!
|
ChallengeOur normal Bubbs Hill Bash is all about team work and challenge, so we'll have a number of activities to get those brain cells going and stretch your mind and yourself to complete them.
|
ImaginationDid you know, your imagination can take you anywhere you want to go. We'd like your help in creating a camp experience to last a lifetime with some design and creative activities.

Spreading the word
You may choose to sign up to the Bash as a unit or, where Leaders are not in a position to take part themselves, we would just ask you to share the information with your girls so that everyone has the opportunity to take part if they wish.
We have created the Information Letter to help explain the event to parents & Leaders. We will also be sharing the information about the Bash via our social media platforms so please do Share and Retweet our posts if you spot them. We want to make sure the event is available to all. |
Register for the Bash
Badge anyone?
We know the majority of our members love a badge but we are also aware that times are tough right now, for our members across the county as well as for us as a charity. We therefore don't want to spend money producing a badge that no-one purchases. We're asking in our registration process whether you would be willing to purchase a badge after the event if one was made available. If there is interest then we will run a competition as part of the camp to design a badge.
