In 2019, we are celebrating 50 years since the first ever camp at Deer Park. As part of the celebrations, we are hoping to give our Deer House an amazing makeover. But refurbishments do not come cheaply so we have been raising funds to make this dream a reality.
We are undertaking an ambitious project! As part of the refurbishment the Deer house will receive new toilets and shower facilities as well as a new, modern kitchen.
The cost of the project will be in the region of £50,000 and so we set about raising funds towards this.
To date, we have received in donations and grants £19,400. We have also allocated £20,000 of our own savings which brings our available funds to a grand total of £39,400. We still need your help to make the Deer House fabulously fit for the next 50 years of visitors.
We have raffle going on across the county. Tickets are available to purchase at £1 each or £5 per book and the raffle will be drawn at our Deer Park 50 Camp on 31st July 2019. If you are a member within the county, please ask your Leader if you would like to purchase tickets.

Grants & Donations
Grant from the Honourable Company
We were delighted to be awarded with a grant of £1,000 from the Honourable Company of Gloucestershire Charitable Trust. Helen Lovett from the organisation came out to visit us at Deer Park. She met with 36th Cheltenham (St Nicholas) Brownies who were on Brownie Holiday in the Assembly Hall and presented a cheque to County Commissioner Karen.
Donation from the Round Table
We received a donation of £50 from Gloucester & District Round Table as part of their Cash for Communities project.
We're very lucky to be supported by so many Patrons and many of them make a donation to us on a regular basis. All of these donations in 2019 will be put towards our Deer Park 50 Project. Donations so far this year (to May 2019) amount to £3,350.
Friends of Deer Park
Our very own Friends of Deer Park have kindly pledged £10,000 towards the Deer House 50 Project which is a fantastic amount to be receiving. The friends raise funds and collect donations all year round and every penny they raise always goes to Deer Park in some way.
Grant from Notgrove Trust
Our Deer House 50 Project team worked really hard to put together an application for the Notgrove Trust. We were delighted to be awarded £5,000 which they decided to fund through the Harry Acland Charitable Trust. We're very grateful for their support.
