As with all good things, our Virtual Summer Bash must come to an end. But not before we take a moment to listen to our County Commissioners, Anne Anderson and Karen McFarlane, who would like to say some special thank yous as well as announcing our badge competition winner.
Message from the County Commissioners
Thank you Leaders
As always, these events are run by volunteers at County level and we thank them for everything they have done.
However, there are also lots of Leaders across the county who 'bring' their girls to the events or share the information so their girls can join in. With our virtual camps, we've seen Leaders offer even more than we can as a county by organising virtual meetings during the weekend too. So whatever your involvement has been in making this Bash happen, however big or small, THANK YOU. |
Thank you Grown Ups
We'd like to say a special thank you to all the virtual Brown Owls we've had helping out this weekend. We're talking, of course, of the amazing Mums, Dads, Grandparents, Big Sisters or Brothers and anyone else who has been on the sidelines ensuring our young members stay safe, happy and healthy. We hope you enjoyed joining in too.
If getting involved in camp life has got you hooked, why not offer your services to volunteer with your local unit. You can help weekly, fortnightly, monthly, occasionally, just for camps, for admin, as a treasurer, etc, etc. The volunteer opportunities are vast and there is something to suit everyone. You can register your interest via the button below. |
