The Bubbs Hill Bash was launched in 2015. It's a weekend in June for Guides and Rangers to come and take part in all manner of challenges in teams of 3-5, competing for the coveted mallet trophy.
The event is run by volunteers and we're always on the lookout for Rangers and Leaders to join the team and get involved.

Performing Arts News - March 2018
The Arts/Showtime team is very grateful for the support of the many girls, Leaders and friends from across the County spanning more than two decades…
We seem to have reached a point where a change of direction is called for ...
There will be NO 'Showtime' this year while we find a new format for Taster Days, trying to include a wider range of workshops to help attract a greater number of girls back to the Arts.
We are eagerly seeking a Division to help kick-off our version of an Arts Roadshow, taking workshops around the County,
starting from March 2019.
The Arts and Showtime Team needs YOU, a Leader / Helper in ANY Division, who can find us a venue, offering several rooms, such as a main hall (with stage), a gym / dance studio, a couple of 'classrooms', all under one roof, with access to water for refreshments and toilet facilities (absolute necessity!) and
help to contact Leaders and Units within that Division once dates and a venue have been secured to spread the word as widely as possible.
We want to offer you ALL the chance to grow in confidence, learn new skills, increase the skills you already have, and make new and long-lasting friendships to carry with you into your careers and through life!!
Once greater interest is rekindled through Arts Taster Days then we can try to resurrect Showtime!!
The Arts and Showtime team needs YOU, so help today by getting in touch.

History of Showtime
Since 1994 Girlguiding Gloucestershire has offered Stage Performance every other year, in the October half-term, to Brownies, Guides, Senior Section and Young Guiders from all over the County.
There have been eleven 'SHOWTIME' events giving cast members the opportunity to share fun, friendship, hard work and achievement through learning songs, dance, acting and musicality, all covering many and varied themes such as "Dazzling Decades", "Postcards from Auntie", "Follow your Dreams", " Celebrate", and "4102 AD" and involving songs ranging from The Beatles through to Lady Gaga.
The Show Team fully appreciate the dedication shown by all who have taken part, through all the rehearsals and practices leading to performing on stage.
In the years 'between Shows' there have been Performing Arts days under several guises such as 'Hit the Stage', 'Fame' and now Arts Adventure, giving girls the chance to try their hand at many aspects of entertainment such as Stage Make-up, Costume preparation, Dance and Movement, Singing, playing Drums, Acting, Creating short plays and Writing 'Raps' all led by enthusiastic Guiders and helpers from all areas of the County.
More recently we have enlisted the support of professionals to lead the workshops in Drama, Drums, Ukulele, Dance, Circus Skills and Singing, to try to spread the enthusiasm and fun that is built up by taking part in the Showtime productions.
